Laura Cere

Laura grew up in the long grass of Delhaven, Nova Scotia with the ocean across the street and the mountain in the background. She was first influenced by her aunt’s medium format camera (circa 78) and the work of Robert Frank (of course) and wishes that they still made the Kodak instant polarpan slide film that Gray Sperling made her use in class (Montreal).

She is currently working on a series of family portraits in Cambridge (where she lives with her 3 kids) and an ongoing photo essay about New Orleans (where she used to live). On a good day she can also speak French and hit 15 foot jump shots with consistency. Currently she works at growing gourmet mini-empire, Taza Chocolate. She is also available for portraiture and graphic design.
